Getting Started with WEATHER INTEL™

A step-by-step guide to using weather intelligence for construction projects

WEATHER INTEL™ helps construction teams monitor weather risks and document impacts on project schedules. Follow these five steps to set up your project and start tracking weather-related delays.

Step 1

Upload Your Company Logo

Add your company logo so it appears on all exported PDF reports.

Go to Settings > Branding
Upload your company logo (PNG or JPG recommended)
The logo will appear in the header of all exported PDF and Word reports
Step 2

Create a Project

Set up a new construction project with location and basic details.

Enter project name, location (NZ), and client info
Set project start and end dates
Add a description of the project scope
Step 3

Upload Construction Schedule

Import your project schedule to identify weather-sensitive activities.

Go to project > Weather Sensitive Activities tab
Upload your schedule file (Microsoft Project, etc.)
Review extracted activities and mark weather-sensitive work
Step 4

Fetch Weather Data

Get 5-day forecasts and historical weather for your project location.

Go to project > Weather tab
Click "Fetch Weather Data" to pull forecasts
View wind speed, rainfall, temperature trends

Review Checklist

Before relying on any forecast, alert, or recommendation, complete the Quick Review Checklist.

Review the latest forecast and confirm it is relevant to your project location
Validate site conditions against the forecast information
Apply professional judgement before making any project decisions
Treat WEATHER INTEL™ as a decision-support tool — Review → Validate → Decide → Act
Step 6

View Reports & Insights

Analyze weather impact trends and export project reports.

Go to project > Dashboard tab for project summary
View alert distributions, weather trends, and statistics
Export weather or impact reports as PDF
💡 Tips for Success

• For PDF schedules, ensure that the following data is shown in the PDF file:

o Activity ID

o Activity Name

o Activity Duration

o Activity Start and Finish Dates

o Activity Total Slack or Total Float

o Activity Predecessors and Successors

• Once Weather Sensitive Activities are generated, review them thoroughly and "Accept" or "Reject" each identified activity.
